The Canadian Tenors’ music is an exciting blend of classical and contemporary pop that is thrilling audiences of all ages around the world. They have sold out shows from Africa to Asia and from North America to Europe, including a stop on the Oprah Show, and performances for Prime Minister Stephen Harper, Her Royal Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, and President Barack Obama. They have shared the stage with Elton John, David Foster, and Celine Dion, and performed hits from their two platinum selling albums at the Opening Ceremonies of the 2010 Olympics and the G20 Summit in Toronto.
The Canadian Tenors’ holiday special, ‘Season of Song: The Canadian Tenors and Friends’ featuring special guests America’s Got Talent’s 10 year old singing sensation Jackie Evancho, Glee’s Charice, and Justin Bieber, received an unprecedented number of viewers on the CBC this past holiday season.
The Tenors are currently recording their new album, which is planned for release later this year.
As their name suggests Neverest are absolutely relentless in the pursuit of their musical goals. “We all have our own Mount Everest,” says frontman, Spyros ‘Spee’ Chalkiotis, “and we’re never going to rest until we accomplish the things we want to as a band.”
For a unit that only solidified their lineup a few months ago they’re already well on their way and are now preparing for the October 2010 release of their first single, About Us, which was co-produced in Toronto by internationally acclaimed producer/songwriter, Anthony M. Jones (Ashanti, Mary J. Blige, R. Kelly). But while it may seem Neverest have covered a fair amount of ground in a short time, the development of their unique blend of hard rock and harmony heavy pop actually dates back a few years.
“Magnetic”, “Capitivating” and “Genuinely soulful” are just a few of the accolades describing Sean Jones; a performer whose international stock is on the rise. His interpretive performances of R&B and Soul classics have wooed fans from across Canada and the US. This summer, Sean brings a whole new show to his audience with a focus on what he does best: Love Songs.
“MAKE PEOPLE HAPPY”
At Just For Laughs, we have a very simple, 3-word mission statement:
“MAKE PEOPLE HAPPY.”
My lord, how much more straightforward can we be? All we wanna do, to whomever we deal with—be it the public, our customers, our partners, the media, our sponsor, or the artists we work with—is make ‘em happy.
And this includes you. How will we make you happy?
How about by ending this right now?
Smile!
All aboard, Toronto! The Railway Children, a spectacular adaptation of Edith Nesbit’s classic novel, steams into Toronto direct from London’s Waterloo Station!
It’s the beloved Edwardian era story of three children who live by the tracks, reduced to poverty after their father is unjustly imprisoned. You may have seen The Railway Children in film and television adaptations, but this stage version is unprecedented! It’s a breathtaking theatrical event that will be staged beside the CPR Roundhouse, at the base of the CN Tower, where a 1,000 seat venue has been built around the railway tracks—with the audience seated on either side—and will “star” a working, 86-ton vintage steam locomotive!
