Jeffrey Latimer
Jeffrey Latimer has produced and managed live theatre, musical productions, artists, events and sponsorships in North America for the past 18 years. His company, based in Toronto is set up to develop and create, produce, present and manage the best in artists, live entertainment, events and TV and Film.
Jeffrey’s first two theatrical productions, Closer Than Ever and Forever Plaid both won awards for Best Musical. The success with Forever Plaid soon became a national phenomenon with three productions running; Toronto (4 years), Vancouver (2 years) and a two year national tour that visited over 70 towns and cities in Canada. Jeffrey’s success with Forever Plaid led to a two year run of “I Love You your Perfect Now Change” and the operation of the New Yorker Theatre for the next 11 years. Jeffrey had the honour of bringing 96 year-old legend George Burns to Toronto's O'Keefe Centre in 1992. Other projects as producer in Toronto, Vancouver and across Canada include sit-down and touring productions of Closer Than Ever, Stomp, Forever Tango, High Life, Late Nite Catechism, I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change, Gross Indecency--The Three Trials of Oscar Wilde, Ladies Night!, Jacques Brel is Alive and Well and Living in Paris, Forever Swing (Michael Buble’s first commercial show-also produce the CD), If You Ever Leave Me, I'm Going With You starring Joseph Bologna and Renee Taylor and Grease, legendary Bea Arthur in Just Between Friends and Cookin At The Cookery and Defending the Caveman. Jeffrey was Director of Business Development for The Second City, launching their new theatre in Toronto and continues to work with Just For Laughs on strategic partnerships.
Jeffrey’s show Evil Dead1&2, The Musical continues to play in cities and towns around the world. Jeffrey, Linda Barnett and Natalie Bartello formed April 30th Entertainment to create new family based musicals. They are currently developing “Queen For A Day – The Musical”, a new musical based on the first ever reality TV show, ABC's 1950’s hit “Queen For A Day”.
Jeffrey and his associate Max Kubiak manage the Canadian Tenors currently with two Platinum albums. They also co-manage Neverest a young pop rock band taking off in Canada.
Jeffrey is executive producer of “The Canadian Tenors Live From the Royal Conservatory” for PBS TV, with guests David Foster and Sarah McLachlin. Jeffrey is executive producer of CBC TV’s 2010 holiday hit special “ Season of Song: The Canadian Tenors and Friends” starring David Foster , Paul Anka, Charice, Jackie Evancho and Justin Bieber. Jeffrey is the executive producer of Gravity’s Pull shot in Cuba this year.
Jeffrey’s charity work is vast; including - Chairing The ONEXONE Foundation gala headed by Matt Damon and the Community Outreach Board of the Sick Kids Foundation. Currently on the Board of The Jays Care Foundation, Chair of WE Day Toronto ( 3rd year – for Free the Children), Chair of Ron White’s “White Knight Foundation” (3rd Year) and in 2010 Jeffrey chaired the David Foster Foundation event with special guests Warren Buffet and Muhammed Ali, raising millions in Toronto.
Max Kubiak
Born in Montreal, Max's passion for the arts was clear from a young age. A graduate of Concordia University Max holds an honours degree from the Theatre department.
